NEW ENTERPRISE
ACADEMY POLICY
"Enrolling our
two children at New Enterprise Academy is the best decision we ever made. They
need an accelerated and challenging learning environment. We love the small
classes... NEA meets our family's needs" - NEA Parents
New Enterprise
Academy is not-for-profit, co-ed, college preparatory, and non-sectarian. NEA
offers pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Enrollment for Academic Year
2008-2009 is limited to 100 students.
ADMISSIONS POLICY
New Enterprise Academy admits
students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights,
privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to
students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies,
admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other
school-administered programs.
New Enterprise Academy admits
qualified candidates who will benefit from a challenging and intellectually
stimulating academic environment and will respect the values of the Academy.
ADMISSIONS PROCESS
During the admissions process, NEA
learns more about the prospective student from the application, an interview,
teacher evaluations, prior school records, an Academy visit and a comprehensive
academic assessment. NEA assessment tools facilitate proper initial placement
of the student and are continually used to monitor the student's progress. If
your student is transferring from another school, transcripts and teacher
recommendations will be very helpful in this assessment process. Please contact
the Admissions Office to
schedule an orientation conference.
