PARENTS' INVOLVEMENT

At New Enterprise Academy, parents are absolutely vital to the school's success. Research reflects a positive correlation between parental involvement and a child's success in school. Students place a higher level of importance on the entire educational experience and subsequently perform better when parents are involved. There are many ways to be an active participant in the educational journey of your children at NEA. Parents serve as speakers and presenters, room parents, field trip chaperones, and as extra pairs of hands in their children's classrooms. They may also volunteer as leaders for our enrichment programs, serve as partners for prospective parents, as leaders of girls and boys scout troops, help support students' community service projects, lead the Giving Campaigns, and host the Parent's Group. Parents are welcome at New Enterprise Academy!

PARENTS' GROUP

The purpose of The New Enterprise Academy Parents' Group is to support the academy in fulfilling its mission. The Group accomplishes this through a variety of activities, as well as financial and volunteer support. An important aspect of the Parents' Group is building a sense of community. This can be accomplished through parent involvement as well as several key organizational activities each year. We encourage all parents to become actively involved in one or more Parents' Group committee activities this school year. Day, evening and/or weekend opportunities are offered so that everyone can participate...parents make a difference everyday at NEA!
