CURRICULUM PRINCIPLES

New Enterprise Academy provides a student-centered curriculum that is academically challenging and developmentally appropriate while exceeding state standards.

  • NEA provides excellent, experienced teachers who are positive role models and supportive mentors in a low student-to-teacher ratio environment.

  • NEA faculty utilize multiple strategies to actively engage the students in learning, while appealing to multiple senses, using state-of-the-art technology and encouraging parental involvement - a proven key to academic success.

  • NEA curriculum uses differentiated instructional methods in a challenging and rigorous academic environment that allows students to maximize their potential.

  • NEA curriculum promotes intercultural understanding and respect, not as an alternative to a sense of cultural and national identity, but as an essential part of life in the 21st century.

  • NEA encourages all students to broaden their global perspective through international learning partnerships.

  • NEA seeks to motivate students to become active, compassionate, lifelong learners and world-class citizens.

New Enterprise Academy has incorporated many aspects of successful programs that have proven to maximize learning potential and provide academically challenging opportunities for all students. After a comprehensive assessment, students enter the multi-age classes at their appropriate level allowing for differentiated instruction. Due to varied rates of learning, it is important that traditional grade level classrooms are transformed to accommodate students of multiple ages where learning takes place without imposed grade level boundaries. NEA offers Primary through Upper classes only. Pending future enrollment growth, NEA will offer Senior and College Preparatory classes.
